What is The Climate Hive?
The Climate Hive is about creating the conditions for real peer connection—the kind that helps people feel less alone, see the field more clearly, and build relationships that can support the work over time.
Each match cycle, you’ll have the opportunity to be paired for a 30-minute conversation with someone else in the climate ecosystem based on shared interests & goals—a researcher, policy advocate, activist, nonprofit leader, cleantech entrepreneur, or storyteller.
No big agenda required. Just a simple, thoughtful conversation between two people who care about climate.
The magic is not in meeting more people. It is in meeting the right person at the right time—someone working in a different corner of climate who can offer perspective, encouragement, insight, or a bridge to something you would not have found on your own.

Who is this for?
The Climate Hive is for current practitioners who are genuinely curious to connect with people doing climate work alongside them—across sectors, disciplines, and perspectives. Engineers and justice advocates. Researchers and storytellers. Public servants and startup founders. If climate is at the center of your work, you belong here. We welcome members everywhere, though depending on your time zone it may take a little longer to find your match.
Who is this not for?
Conversations should be rooted in curiosity, not extraction. If you're showing up with an agenda that serves you more than it serves the connection, The Climate Hive probably isn't the right fit. This isn't a lead generation tool; it's a community for people who want to learn, give generously, and build real relationships across the climate field, where good things develop organically. Is this another networking group?
The Climate Hive is a community of practitioners seeking to deepen connections across the field. When we match you, you’ll receive your hive partner’s LinkedIn profile, so you can reach out and introduce yourself ahead of your chat. Whether your interaction ends after 30 minutes or leads to long-term collaboration, we invite you to lead with generosity and curiosity. Where the connection goes from there is up to you.
How does matching work?
When you register, we will ask about your interests, goals, and what you're looking to give and get. Each week, you’ll receive an email invite to a chat. Once you select your time slot, an invitation will be sent directly to your calendar. Based on what you share with us, we curate a 1:1 match. When it’s time for your chat, just click the link in your email and you’ll meet on the platform.
I’m an aspiring climate practitioner — can I join?
The Climate Hive is designed specifically for current climate practitioners looking to deepen their connections across the space. If you're still finding your way, we'd love point you toward some fantastic resources already built for that stage. Work on Climate Slack Group and #OpenDoorClimate on LinkedIn are both excellent places to start.
I'm not sure I have much to offer — is this still for me?
Yes! We all have more to give than we realize, and when we are generous with what we do have, everyone benefits. Your perspective, experience, questions, existing connections are all valuable to the entire ecosystem. The climate field runs on generosity and shared purpose.
What if I’m too busy?
Participate only the weeks you want, skip when life is full. There's no pressure and no penalty. The Hive will be here when you're ready.
